Drupal in a Day
Drupal in a Day serves as a prerequisite to Acquia's Drupal Site Building course. In this one-day course, participants will gain a solid introduction to Drupal 7, its features, its concepts and the idea of modules. Participants will also learn about Drupal terminology and how Drupal sites are constructed.
Drupal Module Development
In this two-day course, you'll learn how to leverage on Drupal's API by creating custom modules. You'll develop a module step by step and learn how to navigate the extensive documentation available and determine where you can hook into the system and add your new functionality.
This course is designed for those who have experience with site building and knowledge of PHP.

Prerequisites:
An understanding of a Content Management System is helpful. Experience using and building websites using systems such as Wordpress, Joomla!, or HTML and CSS.
Because this class will be an overview and not an in-depth course, it is perfect for people who are on the fence about using Drupal or who are looking for a hands-on introduction.
Knowledge of PHP and programming experience.

Configure and set up a basic Drupal site.
Select, install and configure modules and themes from Drupal.org
Create content and configure content types, Create listings of content.
Manage user roles and accounts.
Manage aliases and URL paths.
Create blocks and place them in the layout
Drupal Module Development
Understand Drupal's hook system and development architecture
Articulate the construction of Drupal modules
Insert and extract data using Drupal's core database abstraction layer.
Responsibly modify contributed modules using patches.
Employ and articulate best practices, security techniques, conventions and coding standards
