About this course

In this course you will find out how Drupal works well with a rapid-prototyping model of development. You’ll get hands-on experience and learn key terminology and processes used in Drupal development. You’ll learn about the typical roles in a development process, from site builders to themers. You’ll be better prepared to manage expectations and make decisions about custom versus contributed modules you choose for your project. You'll explore several case studies, and discover how they are relevant to your project. Along the way, you’ll be guided around pitfalls to avoid.

Drupal for Project Managers shows how Drupal works well with a rapid-prototyping model of development. Through a series of exercises, you will get familiar with the terminology and key processes in Drupal site development. You will also understand why roles are so important in site building and will be well prepared to choose between custom and contributed modules for your project.

Through various case studies you will see how these modules may be useful to your project and learn the best practices.

By the end of the course, you will be able to manage new projects on Drupal and collect requirements, manage resources, assignments and a planning.

The course will be given in French or English, depending on the participants' choice.
