About this course

Event details

This one day taught Drupal 7 course caters for those who are looking to make the transition to using the Drupal framework and who therefore need a concise, practical illustration and how best to employ all the key features.

What experience do you need?

Delegates do not need to have previous experience of any content management framework, nor do they need to be in anyway technical in terms of HTML, JavaScript and the like.

What are the course goals?

The goal of the course is to empower delegates to understand how best to use Drupal features to meet their goals; what to look for in 'good practice' development and likewise what to avoid like the plague. Following this course, project managers will be empowered to plan out future Drupal deployments and brief development teams in the confidence that their implementations will be secure, scalable and perhaps above all, maintainable by non-technical stakeholders.

Prerequisites

No prior Drupal experience is required. Course delegates are required to bring along their own wireless-enabled Windows (XP or above) or Mac OS laptop over which they have the administrative rights in order to install software without issue. We provide a purpose-built stack for the development during the course and we do not accommodate delegates' own local stacks or sandbox development environments.

Quotes

Nick is an excellent trainer. He managed to successfully cover all the sections of the course, which left me with a really good understanding of Drupal. He also gave excellent help and advice on relevant project based issues within my organisation. Some of that advice even changed the way we think about how we communicate website development with our other departments.Tracy, Front End Developer, Scottish Natural Heritage
